Desjoyaux dives into 2020!

Desjoyaux chose La Sucrière in Lyon and Atenao’s simultaneous interpreting service to gather its network to present its annual 2019 appraisal and 2020 strategy.

The former sugar factory was fully renovated in 2011 and now specialises in hosting art exhibitions and public and private events. It sets the scene for concerts, trade fairs and catwalk shows and is a major site for the Lyon Contemporary Art Biennial which it has hosted since 2003. La Sucrière has become the beacon for Lyon’s Docks in the city’s post-industrial La Confluence district and on January 10th it played host to the Jours J 2020 event for Desjoyaux, the world’s leading brand for in-ground pool construction.

The special event’s schedule included figures, results and plans… the technical, economic and financial aspects of the pool market and the brand were discussed before a hundred professionals from the Desjoyaux network at a plenary meeting with simultaneous interpreting in French, English and Italian.

Atenao, whose interpreting department has seen a double-digit growth since 2010, brought in 2 pairs of interpreters, the first in French-English and the second in Italian-French, to fulfil its mission. Two hours of simultaneous interpreting were provided without the slightest hitch under the expert and experienced eye of Marine, our trilingual Project Manager.
