The Subtleties of the Swedish language
As previously mentioned, Scandinavian languages have many things in common. A translator whose native language is Swedish will also be able to tell the difference between the various other similar Nordic Germanic languages, even if some words of a sentence are identical. For a simple example, the number “three” is spoken the same way in Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian: “tre”. However, the first two numbers are different in these languages. “One” is “ett” in Swedish and “een” in Danish. For “two”, it is “två” in Swedish and “to” in Danish.
